Agriculture Commissioner Race Update
In-person early voting is officially underway in North Carolina. Click here to find your early voting site.
Last week, Dr. Sarah Taber, the Democratic nominee for Commissioner of Agriculture, traveled across North Carolina, she (accidentally) explained why Commissioner Steve Troxler is the right choice for North Carolina.
Guess what? Commissioner Steve Troxler has a proven track record of helping farmers recover from storms. He led the charge to help farmers across eastern North Carolina recover from Hurricane Matthew and Florence. As Hurricane Helene arrived, Troxler mobilized the Department of Agriculture to assist farmers across western North Carolina, and he’s still helping even after the media blitz has died down. Check out his latest ad highlighting these efforts.
Dr. Sarah Taber is right about one thing: North Carolina needs “leaders who know what it’s like to be hit by storms. And we need leaders who think beyond just recovery.” That leader is Steve Troxler.
While Troxler highlights his records of helping North Carolina farmers, the NC Ag Partnership is working to highlight Dr. Sarah Taber’s disparaging remarks about farmers. Click here to read them for yourself.
Moreover, North Carolina farmers have begun to react to Dr. Taber’s out-of-touch comments.
AG Race Focus
Last, we covered Braxton Winston’s radical push to unionize every worker in North Carolina. Here’s the thing: if Rep. Jeff Jackson, the Democrat running for Attorney General, is elected, Winston would have the legal support to enact his mass unionization push. Right now, Jackson’s campaign website is touting endorsements from six different unions, including the AFL-CIO.
There is a clear risk that Jackson will not adequately defend North Carolina’s Right to Work and instead promote unionization efforts on behalf of his liberal backers.
Family farms across North Carolina cannot afford the radical union agenda championed by Braxton Winston and protected by Jackson.
